Greetings from Jt. Secretary WOW India

Happy new year friends!

As you know, Today’s Lifestyle is a Disease in itself. In India over the year with technology advancement and westernization there is tremendous change in life style of general population due to which life style diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease etc, are increasing. A study published in the international journal Pediatric Obesity in October predicted that India would have over 17 million obese children by 2025 and would stand second among the 184 countries fighting childhood obesity.

Now, there is a need of self-realization, sensitization about health, lifestyle, and happiness.

People need to look into their living, thinking, eating habits and sedentary life style stress full mind etc and its correction.

There should be a “me” time in everyone’s life which means first to give time to yourself then to others if you are healthy then only be able to take care of your responsibilities, family and work.

So, in this year all of us should take a resolve to adopt healthy habits, just like:

Regular brisk walk/exercise/ dancing /aerobics/yoga etc…

Balanced timely diet which includes right proportion of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins & minerals

Avoid junk food /aerated drinks

Avoid smoking /alcohol

Socialization with friends and family

Good sleep

Meditation

Happy new year to all of you

The new year can be an exciting time, brimming of fresh starts and new beginning.

It is also an opportunity to recommit to your health and well-being. Now the time is to make a resolve that:

I will eat better. Remember, one of the easiest and most sustainable ways to improve overall health is to eat whole foods, including vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, whole grains and fish, contain plethora of nutrients that your body needs to function at an optimal level.

Make a resolve to practice mindful eating. Creating a healthier relationship with food and taking better care of your body and mind can drastically improve your health in various ways.

Male a resolve as I will exercise three times each week.

I will drink more water.
